On a standard road bike wearing a kilt is not a problem if you don’t mind all that material flopping around. On a recumbent bike it just won’t work. I have a Sun Easy Sport recumbent bike. Legs are farther forward as compared to a standard road bike. That allows the kilt to catch the wind and push it up toward my waist. I tried to ride the bike in a Utilikilt thinking I could just tuck the material between my legs and all would be fine. I rode about 100 feet and turned around and went back to the house. I was all legs with a bunch of material bunched up around my waist.
